My Journal

In my journal titled “A Comparative Study on Plea Bargaining in India and Other Countries,” I explored how plea bargaining has been adopted across different legal systems and its relatively recent introduction into Indian criminal law. My focus was on how this mechanism helps reduce the burden on courts and addresses the challenges faced by under-trial prisoners, who often endure long periods in custody without a trial. Through this comparative study, I aimed to highlight the importance of balancing judicial efficiency with the rights of the accused.
